How each page is made
Every page starts with the brewery's own website and its Google listing, read on the date shown. We write down what they say and credit their claims to them.
Many breweries run more than one location. We only use what the website ties to the place on the page, and we leave out the rest.
There is no national list of American brewers to check a licence against, so we never claim one. We have not visited these places, so nothing here is a tasting note.
Producers and the places that pour them
The count on record for each kind of place. Beer distributors and brewing supply shops are deliberately absent. Wholesale is not somewhere you go.
Size, where the register records it
Open Brewery DB classifies 230 breweries by how they operate. The rest carry no size at all. We leave that blank rather than guess it from a review count.

Counts are of breweries carrying that classification in Open Brewery DB. A brewery with no entry there is not smaller. It is unclassified.
Only breweries you can visit
Breweries still in planning are left off until they open. 290 are waiting. When one opens, it gets a page.
Breweries flagged closed by any of our sources are removed. That is 389 places. If one here has closed, or an open one is missing, tell us and we will check.

A brewery with no website and no reviews may be the best one in the county. It will look thin here, and the page will say which facts are missing rather than fill the space.
Hours and ratings go stale
Every one carries the date we read it. Check before you drive, especially on a holiday.
